Top Perfumes For Women – Smell As Good As You Look

Many people have trouble looking for discontinued Estee Lauder perfumes. These were very popular back in the day and they have unfortunately discontinued very popular fragrances that many people love. These are especially special to me because my nana loved to buy them for me as gifts whenever I went to visit her. I'm going to tell you which Estee Lauder perfumes have been discontinued but first let me tell you a little about the legend behind discontinued Estee Lauder.

Estee Lauder Perfumes on Amazon

Estée Lauder was the inspirational co-founder of Estée Lauder Companies. She pioneered this cosmetics company with her husband Joseph Lauder. Estee Lauder stood out from other business women because she was the only woman on TIME magazine's 1998 list of the 20 most influential business geniuses of the 20th century. She was also the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and in 1988 she was inducted into the Junior Achievement US Business Hall of Fame. These are amazing accomplishments for one person and she deserved all the credit given. She will be missed.
Estée Lauder Celadon (1978)

One Discontinued Estee Lauder fragrance that you should know about is Celadon. This perfume was launched in 1978. It was intended as a layering perfume which is why it was launched alongside two other perfumes. The other two were White Linen and Pavilion respectively. I has been said that perfume trios never really work out and that may be why Celadon was discontinued. I had a friend who worked for the company and she said that they knew only one fragrance from this trio would last. It ended up being the best seller which was White Linen. That one is still being produced today while the other two have been discontinued. Celadon has a scent that is really unique and not really that overpowering. It has a very sweet top note while the bottom notes are very green in character. I see this perfume listed on ebay every once in a while. At the moment there is a used one being sold for about 3 bucks on ebay.
Estée Lauder Honeysuckle Splash (2000)

Another perfume that was discontinued by Estee Lauder is the Honeysuckle Splash launched in 2000. This one is also interesting because it wasn't mad by Estee but rather her grand daughter, Aerin. The bottle is very similar to the one that was designed for Youth Dew, 46 years previously. The main difference is that it was made in green. It's interesting to note that many women are turned off by the smell yet they still wear it because so many guys find it irresistible. I don't know what it is exactly that makes guys go crazy for any woman who wears this. Maybe it's the the ways the notes blend together. They consist of Honeysuckle, Orange Blossom, Mandarin, Neroli, White Rose. If I had to guess I would say it's the orange blossom note that does the trick. It's a shame that it was discontinued because there were so many women who derived confidence from this fragrance. They loved the effect it had on guys and it's really unfortunate that they have to find something else to work the same magic.

Pleasures in the Garden (2000) by Estée Lauder

This was another trio launched by Estee Lauder that didn't so well in sales. My nana had this set and she loved using it whenever we went out for dinner. She loved to give me a little sample by spraying some on me too. I enjoyed the scent just as much as her so it really bothered me when I found out it was discontinued.

  • Lilac fragrance notes – Lilac, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang and Mimosa
  • Moon Lily fragrance notes – White Gardenia, Sparkling Citrus and Sandalwood
  • Peony fragrance notes – Peony Blossoms, Citrus, Hyacinth, Bai Rose, Muguet, Pink Rose and Sandalwood.

Many people will lie about which perfume is actually discontinued so it's always best to do your own research. You can visit the official Estee Lauder website and ask them directly. You can also give them a ring and ask which Estee Lauder Perfumes have been discontinued. That is the only way you can know for sure. You also get to learn about other Estee Lauder items.
